Michele Timko has managed the Blue Leaf office since 2011. Ms. Timko gained her office management expertise through years of experience managing a laboratory in Seattle, WA and Nairobi, Kenya for the University of Washington’s medical department. Ms. Timko oversees accounts receivable, maintains compliance with state and federal business laws, and is responsible for payroll, health care, and all business accounts. Ms. Timko has over 20 years of experience in research and nine years specific to fisheries. Ms. Timko also supports biologists with occasional forays to the field. Ms. Timko has experience working in aquaculture in Hawaii, and extensive laboratory and aquatic field research in Alaska. She has a vast skill set including, human resource management, accounting, office management, logistics, equipment maintenance and repair, as well as an expert in research laboratory protocols, field data collection, data QA/QC and reporting and is a certified NAUI open water diver.
Ms. Timko graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Marine and Freshwater Biology in 1992.
